Males
Herd Sires of Silver Knoll Llamas
There are nine incredible Herd Sires including a couple junior males. Our llamas are treated like family and their personalities show that. If one catches your eye-let us know and we will let you know if he has any offspring available or any that will be born that year here at the ranch.

Argentine Don Zunca is a proven producer of Champions. Don Zunca is siring crias soon to be seen at shows and some will be for sale.

Don Zunca is utterly amazing. He prances in circles around me each and every single day. I have never had a llama do that before. He does the circle prancing when I bring him his hay and/or grain. Doesn't matter which. Such a wonderful llama that gives me such joy!!
This could be your opportunity to have imported Argentine llama genetics in your breeding program.

That's a record to be proud of & we are.

Tommy is exceptionally easy to work with and enjoys traveling to different places. Tommy's cria have taken after him in size, conformation & personality. Crias sired by Tommy are becoming ALSA Halter Champions & Best of Show Champions at early ages.

Tommy is quite responsive with me and seems to know what I will be asking him to do before I actually do. Good thing as I have to stand on my tip toes in the pasture to halter him and he waits for me to halter him and off we go!!

Tommy & I have a great understanding. If he is in another pen & I want him to be where I am - I whistle and he comes running, literally running over. Great, great male llama which I truly enjoy!!

Ranek - 2008

Juvenile picture

Ranek's cria pictures above

Kobra's Ranek
Argentine Kobra x Roaring Ruby
DOB  6-03-04   ILR  255729

Ranek is a pleasure to watch in the pasture as he can be found balancing on his hind legs eating leaves off the trees quite a lot. Ranek's fiber is as soft as the finest cashmere sweater - that is the best I can compare it to and as an adult his fiber has not changed.  Ranek has settled his first females at Silver Knoll and outside breedings too - looking forward to seeing crias sired by him in 2009.
Ranek was back in the show ring in 2009. He is one of the main reasons I started adding Argentines to my ranch. Ranek is extremely solid and a good size male llama.

Kobra's Phoenix
Argentine Kobra x Madame Zoya
DOB 8-28-05   ILR  263247  ALSA  12684

Phoenix has grown considerably over the summer 2007 and is showing all the attributes of the Argentine llama with an abundance of silky fiber. The black fiber on Phoenix is a true black and looks like velvet when you are close up and after a grooming.

Phoenix is one of my favorite male llamas due to his awesome personality.

Argentine Rendell
 Argentine Chiquita x Argentine Zapata
DOB  7-27-08   ILR 275614  ALSA 16542

4 weeks old

Measured 44-1/4" at the withers as a yearling.
He has a calm personality, square frame and lush silky crimped fiber.

Argentine Rendell has heavy bone combined with silky wool that is desirable in today's market. When he was born I could only smile and say WOW and Oh My Gosh!!

A special thank you to the Stobie's for breeding (at the time) their Argentine Chiquita & Argentine Zapata - the result of that match is no less than stunning. Rendell has a calm, willing spirit. He is curious & is a colorful addition in our growing full Argentine herd.

Our fun Obstacle Champion

Argentine Champana Gris has abundant silky fiber and has the Argentine large bone and mellow personality. I have wanted to add a pure white male llama to my ranch for several years now and he arrived summer of 2009.

Argentine Tanis
Argentine Pecos x Argentine Pistola
DOB June 2009  ILR #  278805

Tanis is very shiny though not readily apparent in these pictures.
He is a mellow argentine boy with a energetic personality in the pasture, lush fiber
- looking forward to having his fiber spun into roving and skiens.
He is a exotic, rare mix to have in our bloodlines at the ranch.
Tanis has become a Teddy Bear with his extreme heavy wool.

Zunca's Argentine Nolan SKLL
Argentine Don Zunca x Kobra's Deja Monique
DOB  December  2009  ILR # Pending

Not For Sale, Sorry
Replacement for Don Zunca when he grows up

Cria pictures above & below
lots of rare black crimped fiber
Left is Nolan under 6 months old
A welcome addition as he was out of my absolute favorite female, Deja Monique. I expect him to grow into a tall, stretchy male with the exceptional silky fiber from both his dam and sire. Nolan tracks well & has taken to halter & lead like it is the natural thing for him to do. Show & future herd sire prospect.

Kobra's Phantom (ET) x MGF Argentine Lourdes

Nicholas is a great surprise. Heavy wool silky crimped fiber, calm personality - what a fantastic package. Nicholas is a copy of his award winning brother 'Phantom's El Noche Primero'. Rare true black shiny fiber on this young stunning male.
