Kobra's Bandia
Argentine Kobra x Little Miss Mars
DOB 4-13-00   ILR  226264  ALSA  12621

Bandia's sire is the outstanding and well known Argentine Kobra.  Her dam is Little Miss Mars. Bandia is pure black and while she does not possess the characteristics of the Argentine type she passes these traits on to her cria and is a wonderful addition to Silver Knoll Llamas. It was good to have bought Bandia from LC Llamas when they were conducting their herd dispersal.

Bandia is an excellent mother with superior mothering skills an abundant milk supply and so far has produced only daughters. Although Bandia has not been shown her daughters have been and they receive ROMs, and Champion placements at shows.

Denalee is an excellent mother and although she is not shown much she does well when she does go traveling with me. Denalee was exposed to Tommy for 2009 cria - the result is below - Alexandra. Denalee's daughter, Lilly, sired by Don Zunca has done well in the show ring.

Winter 2010

Phantom's Zolena has qualified for the Grand Nationals a couple times.

Phantom's Zolena is an extra large silky, heavy wool girl with fantastic conformation in my opinion and is always there to hang out with anyone who visits.  Some are just that way when they hit the ground.  Personality plus!

Piper as a juvenile pictured on the left -- Right picture as an adult at home in California

Piper is a beautiful, large show girl who has stunning show winning cria.
Piper is an excellent mother.

Piper is dam to Kobra's Deja Monique who won her ROM and ALSA Halter Champion as a yearling and places consistently well at shows; second at Celebrity 2005 in a very large class; second place at Nationals 2005 and fourth at Celebrity 2006.

Piper is the dam to the 2005 Celebrity World Champion, Kobra's Serpiko.

Piper and Tommy's daughter Phantom's Anastasia received her ROM as a yearling, she is an ALSA Halter Champion who has an extensive list of show wins like her sister Deja Monique.

Argentine Chiquita
Argentine Yecu x Argentine Banana
DOB 1-2-02   ILR 246310

Chiquita is a large Argentine girl with vibrant red fiber.  She has a calm personality/presence and is friendly and easy to handle/halter.  Chiquita gave birth to a male cria end of July 2008 sired by Argentine Zapata (Zapata is a Don Zunca son) whose name is Argentine Rendell pictured with mom above.

VL Murphy Garcia
El Trofeo VL x VL Lindeza
DOB 1-26-02   ILR  226880

3020

Murphy Garcia is our largest silky female at Silver Knoll.  She is an excellent mother and births easily, and has an abundance of milk.  Murphy is mild mannered and easy to halter. We have nicknamed Murphy "our horse" due to her size. She passes her calm traits onto her crias. I enjoy watching Murphy in the pasture and taking her for walks or just general hangin' out with this girl.

Phantom's Terabithia
Kobra's Phantom (ET) x VL Murphy Garcia
DOB 2-2-07   ILR  268653   ALSA 16336

Terabithia was over 5 feet tall at the poll as a juvenile, she has silky fiber and is on the large size with a calm disposition, sweet and curious like her dam Murphy.  Her conformation is correct.

Lovely young female with lots of deep red in her fiber. This young female should produce some outstanding crias in her future.

Giselle LCH
LW Pink Panther x Lundy LCH
DOB 5-2-03   ILR  226420

Giselle is a tall, medium wool female who is athletic and playful.  Giselle will pick up any article she finds interesting and walk off with it (gloves, hats, jackets, keys - no particular preference for her.) She is a complete people llama. Giselle's first cria, looks very much like her, she is an easy birther, and has excellent mothering instincts.

Giselle not only took care of her own cria - she also let another cria nurse from her this past season. I have found that 3 of my females here at Silver Knoll Llamas will do that. The crias get a fantastic healthy start with two females taking care of them. Way to go Giselle!

VL Viveza
Guesto Renombre SLT x VL Bonita
DOB 4-10-03   ILR  226889

Vivi is a silky true black llama with a little white on her ear/front feet and neck. She is one who likes to visit with people. Vivi is an excellent mother.

November 2009

This female is one of the great grand dams who passes her hooked ears, wonderful fiber and exceptional conformation along with her other outstanding genetic attributes to her crias. She has lots of presence and is a calm, friendly llama - she is pure bliss to be around at the ranch.

Bananna's crias have done exceptionally well in the show ring at the Grand Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska and at the Celebrity Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and many other shows. She is a favorite here and knows it.

Beautiful young show girl!

picture at 8 months Heavy Wool Female

Lilly began being shown fall of 2008 - her color placement is very nice and balanced. She is a single coat silky/suri 1/2 Argentine llama. Argentine Don Zunca and Denalee Dark Starr were a good match!  Lilly is easy to handle and seems to enjoy traveling.

2008 Grand Champion North County Fiber Fair

Just look at that face - I did and... we are happy to have purchased this young show girl at the Celebration Sale 2009, Oklahoma City, OK. Jamieson is solid true black and her fiber is exquisite.  It took Jamieson no time to acclimate herself to California living.

Jamieson is a welcome foundation female at the ranch.

GNLC Shimmer
WSL INFA Red x GNLC Charada
DOB  6-20-08   ILR  275655

Yearling pictures above

Shimmer was purchased in Spring 2009 and made the long ride home to California.  Shimmer's fiber is silky with amazing luster. Her neck is one thing you notice when first looking at her -- WOW it is long! Shimmer is another people llama which is important in my breeding program. She is curious and comes right over when her name is called.

Argentine Trupa
Unknown x Unknown
DOB 1-1-93   ILR  S170223

right picture Winter 2010

Trupa is doing very well here at the ranch since arriving from Wisconsin. Although she is an older female she will be bred to Don Zunca or another full argentine male here in the hope of getting one or two more crias before her retirement. Just like her pasture mate Pistola, Trupa has adjusted to California living.

Argentine Pistola
Argentine Yecu x Argentine Lefu
DOB 9-27-98   ILR 203996

Pistola is doing well since arriving from Wisconsin in July 2009. She has the company of her male cria - Tanis and also a pasture mate 'Trupa'. Pistola is a great mother with lots of milk and mothering instincts.

Phantom's Alexandra
Kobra's Phantom (ET) x Denalee Dark Starr
DOB November 25, 2009  ILR Pending
New pictures coming soon...

Alexandra was solid black for the first two months & turned into a milk chocolate brown color except for a bit of white around her nose/mouth. Silky fiber, long legs with lots of stretch. I love this young female - she is so sweet. Can not hardly see her eyes still at 9 months old due to head fiber - no problem there & she is sporting a 5 inch or so white beard. Tommy passed on those stunning argentine traits once again.
